Lexie Belcec

Hometown: Moama NSW

Lexie has been drafting since she was 8 years old and is a member of the Bunnaloo Campdraft Club.  She says she’d “rather be outside than inside any day”.  She has a Certificate II in Agriculture and currently works part time at the Drovers Saddlery in Echuca.  Aside from campdrafting she enjoys playing netball.  One of Lexie’s goals is to own a large property and breed, train and compete on her own campdraft horses.

Sophie Heffernan

Hometown:  Candelo NSW

Sophie competes mainly at SCA campdrafts as well as a few GCA and ABCRA drafts.  She is involved with the Candelo Campdraft Association helping out with catering, photography, livestock organisation and donating prizes from her own “Soph’s Leather Shop”. Sophie suffered a life threatening illness while working on a cattle station in WA which forced her come back home where she worked at her old high school mentoring young students with stories of her experiences while working up north. This led to the creation of her own blog called “Lessons learnt in the Kimberley”. She is currently studying Secondary Teaching as well as working on building her own business of custom made leather products and tack repairs.

Tahlia McDonald

Hometown:  Armidale NSW

Tahlia loves competing in campdrafts, challenges and ASH events and in between competing she volunteers in the canteen, scoring for judges, on the front gate or selling raffle tickets.  She is currently studying a Bachelor of Rural Science at the University of New England. Tahlia is also interested in the artificial breeding of horses and cattle and is eager to increase her skills in that field.  Tahlia works part time with Circle L Western Products. One of Tahlia’s goals is to see her young horses have success in challenge events.
