Brooke Dodwell

Home Town: Illabo NSW
Australian Stock Horse Society Representative

Brooke has spent the last three years as a farm hand on a sheep and cropping property in Illabo, where her role involves crop preparation and harvesting, as well as working with sheep. She has a strong interest in learning about the different cropping varieties and production methods and also enjoys the diversity of work that her job offers.

Alongside her farming skills, Brooke holds a Certificate in Equine Sports Massage and is also a qualified barista.

Born into a campdrafting family, Brooke has been involved in the sport her entire life and is passionate about ensuring it remains strong and family orientated.

For the past three years, she has served as secretary of the Illabo Campdraft Club, volunteering her time to the sport she loves. She has also played an active role in fundraising, including helping organise a charity auction that raised funds for Cowboy Hats for Kate, supporting brain cancer research.

Brooke is an open campdraft judge, regularly volunteering her time at campdrafts and lending a hand where she can. She has also volunteered at Nutrien, taking cattle from the sale arena.

With a strong interest in horse breeding, Brooke hopes one day to develop a team of competition horses that are entirely home bred.

A recent trip to Mongolia, where she rode reindeer and Mongolian horses, sparked a love of travel in Brooke and a desire to continue travelling to different countries and experiencing their cultures.

Brooke is looking forward to working alongside the Classic Ladies Foundation Team and contributing to the fundraising efforts for this year’s charities. She is eager to learn more about the fundraising process and how the funds raised directly benefit those in need. Brooke believes the Young Ambassador Quest will be a humbling experience and feels privileged to be able to give to those who may not have had the opportunities she has been lucky to enjoy throughout her life.

Camilla Taylor

Home Town: Scone NSW
Australian Bushman’s Campdraft and Rodeo Association Representative

Camilla is a senior hairstylist and salon owner in Muswellbrook and is a busy, proud mum to two young boys.

Growing up, Camilla attended horse sports events, regularly participating in Pony Club, school horse sports, campdrafts and rodeos. These early experiences shaped her love of horses, riding and the rural community involved.

Camilla and her husband, Josh, proudly support local horse sports events as a way of giving back to the lifestyle that means so much to them, most recently supporting the King of the Ranges Stockman’s Challenge.

Camilla’s two sons share her love of horses and are already obsessed with riding. One of her goals is to raise them in the same sporting environment she enjoyed growing up, giving them every opportunity to participate, learn and succeed in doing what they love.

Professionally, Camilla is focused on continuing to grow her hairdressing business. Both she and her husband Josh come from farming families, and their long-term dream is to one day own their own livestock operation—working hard, enjoying the rewards of getting the job done, and spending their days involved with horses and stockwork.

A long-time fan of the Classic Ladies Foundation, Camilla has admired their work for many years. This year, she is finally in a position to give back and is passionate about being involved in the important work the Foundation has done and continues to do for the community.
