Rebecca Boyd

Age: 22

Hometown:  Holbrook NSW

Rebecca has ridden horses all her life and this hasn’t left much time for other sporting pursuits.  She is the secretary of the Holbrook Campdraft Committee and is keen to see the Committee grown stronger in the years to come.  Rebecca helps out at a number of local campdrafts, announcing and lending a hand wherever she can.  In the future Rebecca would like to work alongside other campdrafters to grown the Southern Campdraft Association as well as improving her own drafting skills and encourage other women along the way.

Millie Edmonds

Age: 18

Hometown: Merriwa NSW

Millie has been campdrafting with her family since she was old enough to complete.  Her other sporting interests include competing in triathlons, cross country running, athletics and swimming.  She plays tennis, soccer, touch football and hockey.  Millie is a volunteer for the Merriwa campdraft committee, Classic Ladies Foundation and the Women’s Shelter in Armidale.   She would like to travel throughout Australia working in the rural sector and to pursue a career in agriculture in the future.

Alice Fitzpatrick

Age: 24

Hometown:Yarrawonga VIC

Alice loves campdrafting, she says “it’s addictive”! She is also a keen challenge competitor competing in events such as the Battle on the Bidgee and The Man From Snowy River Challenge.  She has started competing in cutting events and enjoys the places cutting has taken her and the people she has met along the way.  Alice is a volunteer for the Bacchus Marsh Campdraft and the annual youth camp.  She also helps out at the local pony club of which she was a member for many years.  One of Alice’s goals is to breed, train and compete on her own cow horses and to pass on her knowledge to others. In the future Alice, would also like to operate her own cattle breeding enterprise and from her experiences, educate farmers to run more efficient and resilient farms.  Alice would love to share her industry and life experiences and be a role model for young rural women.

Dani Robson

Age: 23

Hometown: Tamworth NSW

Dani is a keen horse woman and has played a variety of team sports throughout her school and university years.  Dani has represented Australia internationally with the Australian Girls Choir, also at the New Zealand Royal Show showing cattle and Farmfair International Canada.  She is a member of the Tamworth Campdraft Club, Tamworth Show Society, Rural Science Undergraduate Society, Royal Agricultural Society and Australian Stock Horse Society volunteering her time to events held by each group.  Dani has a passion to help others achieve their goals, particularly young rural women.  Her own goals include working in the field of animal nutrition, particularly cattle and horses.

Katie de Jong

Age: 20

Hometown:Manilla NSW

Katie is a successful campdrafter and also competes in Australian Stock Horse classes and show cattle competitions.  She also plays touch football.  Katie volunteers at the ABCRA National Finals, the Manilla and Barraba Pony Clubs and is the Publicity Officer for the Manilla Campdraft Committee and a former Publicity Officer for the Shorthorn Youth Committee and Farmfair International Member, Alberta Canada.  Katie’s interests lie in research including alternative veterinary practices and equine sports medicine and she hopes to travel the world with her research.  She breeds her own Shorthorn cattle and her goal is to create innovative and sustainable ways to provide beef for Australia in the future.  Australian Stock Horses are also one of Katie’s passions she is an advocate of the importance of the history of the breed and the Heritage Stock Horse.

Tori Rafton

Age: 24

Hometown: Mt Marshall QLD

Tori is interested in anything horses but mainly campdrafting and cutting.  She is a volunteer for the Allora Pony Club, of which she was a member while growing up.  She also volunteers for the Warwick Show and One Day events held at Moore Park Warwick.  Tori is a committee member of the Allora Campdraft and also the Warwick Gold Cup & Rodeo Associations volunteering as an arena cleaner, in the office and for the Rodeo Queen Quest. Tori has had the honour of singing the National Anthem during the Warwick Gold Cup Grand Entry on two occasions. One of Tori’s goals is to win a draft, cutting or challenge event on a horse she has bred and trained herself. Tori has a new found interest in showing her family’s Limousin Stud Cattle and is keen to continue to grow the stud and continue their own bloodlines.

Laura Sharp

Age: 18

Hometown: Byng NSW

Laura enjoys campdrafting as well as competing in ASH shows, ASH Challenges and cow horse competitions.  She also plays netball and touch football and enjoys water skiing.  Laura volunteers for her local campdraft club, the Orange Clay Target Club and the local CWA.  She is involved in fundraising for the bushfire brigade, Red Shield Appeal, Church fetes and various school fundraisers, as well as raising funds through the Orange Clay Target Club for a prostate cancer machine.  One of Laura’s goals is to qualify for the ABCRA National Finals. Rural real estate is where Laura hopes to find a career in the future.

Tess Southeron

Age: 24

Hometown: Walcha NSW

Tess enjoys campdrafting and playing touch football.  She is a volunteer for the Walcha Golden Gate Campdraft & Rodeo, Dolly’s Dream Foundation and Jump4Em Charity Campdraft and Fundraiser.  Tess has a goal to help the people living in rural communities and sees herself doing so by attaining formal qualifications in either child care or the medical field when she completes her overseas travels.
